Kiev, Ukraine—The European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR) released an assessment of possible scenarios for Russia’s collapse last week.
The report, written by visiting fellow Nikolay Petrov, concludes that the Russian political system "has no capacity to reform, and faces growing economic woes, crumbling infrastructure, and warring elites."
A combination of falling oil prices and sanctions enacted against Moscow in response to its invasion of Ukraine have had increasingly negative effects on the Russian economy, raising questions about the sustainability of Russian leader Vladimir Putin's regime.
Petrov identified three possible outcomes for Russia. The first is some manner of "regime change," where the current Russian political system collapses under stress from sanctions and low oil prices.
The other outcomes Petrov described as "Exit Strategies," where the Russian political system avoids collapse. A safe exit could be achieved if oil prices increase in the near term or if Russia chooses to engage constructively with the West. The other exit strategy would involve replacing Putin and restoring the government’s legitimacy in the eyes of the Russian people and international community.
Russian affairs analysts familiar with the report expressed skepticism about the exit strategies, which offer hope that Putin's rule can be drawn to a peaceful conclusion. Oil prices are not projected to rise to levels that would revive Russia’s economy, and a return to a normal relationship with the West is also unlikely. While some European figures, notably German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier, have called for diplomacy with Moscow, the success of negotiations is far from assured.
There are also signs that Putin is moving to strengthen his grip on power. Earlier this month, the Kremlin announced the creation of a 400,000-strong national guard, which one analyst in Moscow referred to as "a modern-day Russian version of the Waffen-SS." The army will consist of combat units from the Ministry of the Interior plus special forces and personnel from other security agencies. The army is now being moved under Putin's personal command.

I submit articles to the news site Sleazy Bastards. Sleazy Bastards reports on sleazy bastards such as the corporate gangsters, lying politicians, and fake news sites. Golden College seems to fall into the the first two categories.
What are you people thinking? Two weeks of leave for the bigot professor? This is even more outrageous than the bigot's assault on that couple and their child because it brings into question they qualifications and character of the trash Golden College hires and the character of its administration. Clearly that "professor" is an idiot and anyone that ignorant probably has fake credentials or the qualification for being a college professor are woefully low. How did a piece of trash like her get hired? It seems that Golden College has very low standards. I will be persuading the Kao's to sue Golden College in hopes that it will send a message to other rip off educational institutions.
The hypocrisy is astounding. Had she been a nymphomaniac and banged her attractive male students she would have been fired and the phony moral outrage would have ensued. It seems at Golden College bigotry is treated like cops beating up citizens... two weeks paid vacation. Outrageous!
It seems that moral turpitude clause in her contract doesn't include racism and bigotry. Do any of you see the hypocrisy in this? This professor needs to be gone and black balled but it seems that AmeriKKKa these days in intolerant of the physical features of humans and tolerant of bigotry, Putin's disinformation campaign, Fox News, Alex Jones and lying while they call it protected speech. Speech has limits and consequences.

Golden College will pay the price for its hypocrisy. You hypocrites are not much different than the pedophile protecting trash at Penn State. Since many American colleges are pretty much a scam corporate type entity and cut above Trump University, all you scoundrels understand is money. As shameful as this incident is, I doubt if many of you feel much shame same as the bankster and big pharma trash that get called in front of Congress. I hope this article hurts Golden college and other worthless for profit colleges to the core. Hopefully, more and more people will realize what a money making scam private colleges have become.

ReplyDeleteSleazy Bastards has decent numbers but Bear's and FB's sites are off the chart. Dr Bear being an academic, should have some special insight into this. He knows about the disciplinary process for academics such as Tarin Olson and he should be able to get more information about her and Golden College.
From what I've seen Golden College looks like a sham offering a lot worthless degrees. Some of their curriculum looks legit but Dr Bear would be a better judge of that. That said, their administration is probably slimy and corporate like and Trumpian.
This is a prime example of institutional racism. What makes it most egregious is that it is tolerated at an educational institution but as you point out administrators in many institutions are unscrupulous. Scum rises to the top.
